MS Student at the School of Computer Science,
Georgia Institute of Technology

About Me:

I am currently a Master's Computer Science student at The Georgia Institute of Technology where I work as a Graduate Research Assistant in the High Performance Architecture Lab under my advisor Professor Hyesoon Kim and her PhD student Minjang Kim

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech in Spring 2007.

Prior to starting my Master's I was a software engineer at Microsoft in Redmond, WA. At Microsoft I worked in the Office organization where I spent much of my time developing code generation tools to help speed up the development of testing and automation tools.

During the summer of 2010 I worked as a Compiler Developer at AccelerEyes where I wrote a compiler frontend that translates MATLAB code into the nVidia PTX ISA.

Research Interests:

My research interests include compilers, dynamic runtimes, and program instrumentation/profiling. I'm also beginning to get into Computer Architecture and GPU-based High Performance Computing.
Classes Taken:
  • Compilers and Interpreters (CS 4240)
  • Programming Language Design (CS 6390)
  • Dynamic Compilers and Managed Runtimes (CS 8803DC)
  • Special Problem (CS 8903), Wrote an LLVM based Loop Profiler.
  • CS 4803 DGC (a course about GPUs and embedded architectures)

Current Classes:
  • Computer Architecture (CS 6290)
  • Master's Research Project (CS 8902)
  • Hot Topics in Parallel Computing (CS 8803)
